Overview

Civil Mining and Construction Pty Ltd (CMC) undertook the West Creek Channel and Goggs Street Upgrade as part of the $40 million Toowoomba Regional Council Flood Recovery Program following the 2010/11 floods. A significant project for the region that involved widening and deepening the West Creek channel and upgrading stormwater drainage along Goggs Streets to increase capacity and protect the adjacent area during 1 in 100 year Annual Rainfall Interval (ARI) storm events. Struber was engaged to manage access and construction impacts daily through face-to-face communications with directly impacted stakeholders, undertake proactive consultation with those affected and coordinating multiple private access and reinstatement agreements to facilitate ease of construction. A post-construction survey of affected businesses scored Struber 100% for stakeholder satisfaction.
